All of us at Stephens and Drew Opticians were delighted to lend our support to Cleethorpes Cricket Club as they hosted their annual T20 competition.
Stephens and Drew sponsored the event which was held to raise funds for the area’s essential services after their dedicated work throughout lockdown.
Cleethorpes CC came away from the competition as winners, after beating Humberside Police by 9 wickers in the final.
The knockout competition also featured Tetney Super Kings and a Humberside Fire and Rescue side, who Cleethorpes defeated in the semi-final.
The sponsorship of the competition further extends our commitment to the club, as Stephens and Drew are the official opticians of Cleethorpes Cricket Club, which allows club members to receive a 20% discount at the practice.
Optometrist Simon Falk said: “It was fantastic to once again lend our support to Cleethorpes CC; the T20 competition was held for a great cause to raise money for our essential services, so congratulations to the organisers on a great event.
“We were also delighted to see Cleethorpes win the competition but the other teams should be proud to be involved in an enjoyable day of cricket played in the right spirit.
“We’re very much looking forward to increasing our involvement with Cleethorpes CC and we wish them the best of luck for next season, which will hopefully be a less disrupted campaign.”
